This device works perfectly and the price is right

I originally bought this to measure the flue gas temperature on my wood stove. Now it is used to measure the temperature difference between the plants in my garden and the temperature of the surrounding soil. Some plants absorb more water than others and register lower leaf temperatures. I can tell if my plants are suffering from drought. The tepari bean is a Southwestern bean intended for hot, dry environments, and water uptake is slowest there, so the plant's temperature is closer to that of the soil. Everything is getting more and more interesting. An infrared thermometer is coming this winter and will tell me if my wood stove is running hot or cold.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Negative gift
