Not the best choice if you work outside in rainy weather.

The thermometer itself works perfectly in good weather. However, he has already failed twice when a little rain got into the tool bag. It came back to life after putting it in a bag of rice for many hours, but it doesn't work for me as I need this tool every workday and I need it to be reliable. In contrast, my Fluke multimeter, clamp meter, and non-contact voltage tester all work fine under the same conditions. Replaced it with a Klein IR5, which still handles rainy winters well, and FWIW…

This device works perfectly and the price is right

I originally bought this to measure the flue gas temperature on my wood stove. Now it is used to measure the temperature difference between the plants in my garden and the temperature of the surrounding soil. Some plants absorb more water than others and register lower leaf temperatures. I can tell if my plants are suffering from drought. The tepari bean is a Southwestern bean intended for hot, dry environments, and water uptake is slowest there, so the plant's temperature is closer to that of…

useless and sent refurbished from Amazon

I paid for a new one. He came and worked part-time. And he was completely inaccurate. Revain accepted the return and sent me a refurbished one even though I paid for a new one. The refurbished one works fine but is too inaccurate to be useful. Also to compare the difference. (shows radiator inlet colder than outlet) Every thermometer I buy first tests it at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (ice crystals form in the water) and boiling water near sea level. (you need to correct the altitude) I thought that…

Easy to use, accurate and versatile

I bought this to check the temperature of everything from boilers, radiators, air conditioner vents, compressors to cooking/dining/refrigerating to spotting heat leakage around windows and doors , and it worked great on every surface I could find. They even measured the dog and the child. The only drawback is that the emissivity table is not built into the device as specified in the instructions. You can adjust it to suit the material you're measuring, but there aren't any built-in presets. So…

Great Entry Infrared Thermometer

BLUF: Accurate infrared thermometer and easy to use. I give this product 4 stars because of the following pros and cons. Advantages: 1st prize. You can't beat $80 for this product. Yes, you can find cheaper IR thermometers, but they are not as accurate or as durable as Fluke products. These cheap Chinese fakes usually cost around $20, but they last about a year, and not so durable this year. Easy to use. Very comfortable.3. Black illuminated light. Ideal for seeing in the dark4. Laser so you…
