Review on 🧼 Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap Refill by Matt Maxwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Odor and foam: Old rusty car - Performance: new Corvette engine under the hood

Odor: Smells fresh, like an old-fashioned bar of white soap that isn't heavily perfumed. It can almost be compared to a bar of soap that you find in a hotel. The smell is very subtle and goes away very quickly. This soap is not for those looking for a strong smelling soap. Foam: That was the area where I was most disappointed. I think I expected it to explode with foam, but it's not for me. Reviews will tell you that it works best with hard water, soft water best, and some suggest soaking the entire soap washer in warm water for a few minutes before using it. While I have found that this softens the soap and gives better results, the suds still dissipate very quickly. I liken foam to trying to keep the fire moist with wood. They can get good results for a while, but then they start to fade. This soap lathers well after getting wet, but after lathering one side of my cheek and brushing the brush over the other, it breaks up into lathers. This soap is not for those who like thick lather and I recommend using as little water as possible. Everything is too much. The little foam you get takes a lot of effort and then it goes away. Performance: This was the range I was most happy with and I'll probably buy another tile from this, although the smell isn't strong. and i get terrible foam. I've used many soaps and creams over the years, but none have left my face looking as fresh and silky as Mitchell's. Even with the sudsy lather I get, the razor glides effortlessly with no irritation. The smell and foam look like an old, battered and rusty car, but performance is what's under the hood. Brand new Corvette engine.
