What you get here is not much more than the glorified parachute you use in the PE class. So I'm not going to spend a little more fabric and sewing for $55. I have tried using it for my daughter (9), niece (9), nephew (7) and son (3.5). I quickly found that the older kids weren't keen on this 'fortress' - I was trying to substitute pitching an entire tent around the house, which was always a hit, but it was a lot of work for mom. I had hoped that I might interest the boy in this fort, but he wasn't very enthusiastic either. I would open it quickly so he could get in, all air was out of him and by that point he had lost faith in this fortress. I don't have time to convince kids that they have to stay inside lest the air run out, stay in place lest the fan blowing the air topple over etc etc etc.
