For home use, this tool is used infrequently and can take a long time between uses. Mine was a piece of junk. It took me a while to figure it out as it only showed up every once in a while, but I ended up throwing it away because it never worked when I wanted it to and I spent all my time unscrewing the back cover to fix it to try to make it work.
