I've ordered 2" and 6" lengths. The description says it is a smooth shiny finish and the 2 inch length matches that description. The length of 6 inches is very different; It's a matte black rough finish that feels much more substantial. The 6" also matches the angle and floor flange I bought from the same company. I buy everything from the same company because I wanted everything to match my shelving project. I chose the black lacquered finish because it this is what i have planned, it saves me a step in the process so i am sending the 2" back and not re-ordering. It really matches the description so I don't think I'll get a different finish if I replace it. I couldn't find another 2" length from any company that I thought would fit other parts I keep, so I decided to use a threaded nipple instead. This takes up space from the shelf reduced to pipe but I think it will look nice and I will be much happier than leaving the items with two different finishes.
