Even with the engine running, the bulb did not work on any candle.
I'm not sure what the problem is with this thing, it's weak and the bulb is spring loaded and touching what looks like very thin solder or aluminum on each end. The connector is too big, but the connector that fits the connector cable is fine. I had to crimp the end of the spark plug to keep it connected, but the bulb never came on. For the price I would consider it junk and a failed experiment not worth returning.
