Smelled quite strongly from the packaging. We made the mistake of not washing it before first use and my girlfriend kept complaining about the smell when the duvet was next to her. She washed it as soon as we woke up in the morning and the smell was almost gone. It's been a few weeks since it was washed and it still smells when your nose is off. It's not as harsh as day one, but it still smells. Most duvets will smell like your linens and blend in with your scent, but this one retained its own scent. The duvet is a queen size so it is very large. I personally don't like fleece blankets as they are too hot for me, but my girlfriend loves fleece blankets and I bought these mainly for her. Although she hated the smell and the leftover scent, she uses it every day and often wraps herself in it. I wanted to give this one at least 4 stars, but given the price and taste, 3-4 stars is more appropriate.
