Ordered two of these to wall mount some mics for a customer. The first one took me an hour of trading trying to get the spinning ball to pull. I was about to throw it in the trash but figured it might be worth trying a second block. It worked fine. So I took apart all the parts for comparison and found that the clamp screw on the working unit was pointed (to hook the edge of the turnbuckle). The one that didn't work was cut clean, not sharpened. I tried grinding it, but while it looked pretty good, it still didn't hold the ball and tube in place. Since that didn't work, I paid for overnight delivery on a more powerful mount. For a moment when I saw this device for less than $10 I thought I had stumbled upon something good only to get $20 for these 2 devices plus better devices plus overnight shipping and a waste of time trying to get it to force to work. .
