If the detangling nylon pins were a little tougher, this would be the PERFECT brush. But because they are soft, the brush doesn't penetrate the bottom layers of my hair very well. It feels superficial when I comb my hair wet (you can dry it) - only the top layer combs well. Boar bristles are real, I tested them. I wonder if it would be better if the length of the nylon pins were closer to the length of the boar bristles. In general the product appears to be of good quality but is best suited for those with very fine hair. For the record, I have long straight hair that is fine/medium in thickness but thick in bulk.
