Review on πŸ”§ UGEARS Combining Mechanical Construction Kit by Jason Bellman

Pain in the ass but cool. The toothpicks are not strong enough to move all the gears.

This is the gift my husband chose for himself. He collects it now. So far it's taken 4 hours and he's done just over halfway through. I suggest buying extra toothpicks (obviously), maybe pliers and band-aids if the wood breaks in your fingers lol. At this point he's pretty excited because the instructions show how to put the gears in after the main frame is fully assembled. This makes it difficult to avoid falling apart, and because of this, the gears don't line up perfectly (resulting in the gears not working properly and the movement not being as smooth). I would suggest installing the gears before assembling the main frame or swapping out some toothpicks to align them properly. All the bugs aside, it's pretty cool to look at the end of the day.
