K&N filters are more expensive, so if you're a short-term curmudgeon, K&N filters aren't for you. However, when you look at your vehicle in terms of durability and performance, these filters are worth the money. First I noticed a 4-5 mpg increase in gas mileage. Second, because the filtered airflow is more efficient and produces more horsepower, the car accelerates faster and more powerfully. Finally, the filter is easy to clean, so you save money over the long life of the filter by cleaning the same filter instead of buying cheaper ones.
