My TV is five years old and unfortunately! Our console has failed over the years. For some reason he was supposed to explode on impact, and after the thousandth fall (helped by his horribly slippery appearance) Humpty Dumpty wasn't put back together. So, while looking for a replacement remote, I came across this beauty! It comes in all sorts of dazzling colors, some even glow in the dark. I preferred black leather, but then I remembered how many times I'd crawled across the floor looking for some damn faraway deathbed. So I chose blue. It's not so noticeable that I could see it in the dark, but at least it doesn't blend in with the couch anymore. My husband put it on the remote so I can't tell you how easy it was for him. But I didn't hear any swear words back then, so I guess it was pretty easy. It fits very tight but doesn't interfere with the buttons. Best of all, the texture prevents slipping. In general, I would like to know that this existed many years ago. My remote feels solid and I could save myself the endless heartache of looking for an OEM replacement five years later. PS I bought two fake Revain remotes as they cost about 1/10th the price. None of these will match the volume. So OEM!
