Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Audio Inline Fuse Holder Gauge for Reliable Protection by Norman Costello

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Doesn't quite work with 4 gauge AWG wire

Looks nice and the plastic is strong enough. I was able to drill slightly larger holes to use the existing screws for attachment. However, this probably didn't work with my 4 gauge AWG wire. I had to carefully slide the rubber grommet over the strands of wire to ensure no strands would catch and break them as they passed through. Barely touching the strands of wire, the jack had no chance to peel the insulation. I removed it and expanded the rubber grommet and insulation on the wire to make a secure connection. If the wire is bent in any way, there is a chance that a small section of the bare wire will be exposed. While this shouldn't happen, it's a chance and a problem. Probably works well with 6-8 gauge wire.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
