Review on RISEPRO Thermocouple Thermometer Channel 🌡️ 200 for Measuring Temperatures up to 1372°C by Eric Temple

Works well, sensor specs are missing, calibration may be needed

Seems to work well. It comes with 4 probes, a zipped nylon case and a 3-page instruction manual in reasonably good English. Everything in the main block seems fine. The four probes that come with it seem to be of poor quality. They appear fragile, with very thin cables and exposed ends. They seem to give false results equally easily at multiple test temperatures. They constantly read about 4 degrees Celsius. For example, boiling water (about 10 m above sea level) shows 96 °C. There are absolutely no specifications for the sensors, so I have no idea about their temperature range. The range of the reader is stated from -200 ° C to 1372 ° C, but nothing is said about the sensors. They seem like some cheap "tiny metal ball" type, so they're probably only good up to 250 degrees, but there's no way to tell.

Pros
  • WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE: 200°C ~ 1372°C (-328°F ~ 2501°F)
Cons
  • There are new competitors
