Review on πŸ”‡ Dynamat 11101 Dynaliner - High-Quality 32"x54" Sound Deadener - 1/8" Thick - Self-Adhesive by Rob Clark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ideal for carpet or ceiling covering

I have used Dynaliner twice. The first was a 1/2 inch thick dynamat on the roof of a 2001 Jeep XJ. While I was replacing the headliner, I pulled out a board and applied Dynamat and Dynaliner to the tin roof under the headliner. This gave a very good result. a quiet cabin in the rain and really reduced road noise, especially when transporting kayaks on a roof rack. The second application was with a product of this particular thickness (1/8 inch). I pulled the carpet out of the back of a 1998 Suburban and replaced it with vinyl. Dynamat was again in the trunk in the places where the factory silencer did not cover. Dynaliner gave everything. I haven't driven a car since installing it, but this product is superior to any dirty, wet carpet. To make assembly easier and to better activate the glue, I laid out the Dynaliner panels on the hood to warm them up a bit. It was a 40 degree day so adding some heat helped loosen the material and allow it to mold slightly into the cargo area's corrugated sheet metal when installed.
