These are 40W equivalent, NOT 60W equivalent. I have two ceiling mounted fans, about 10 feet apart, each with 4 lights. I removed my 40W equivalent bulbs and installed these on one of the fans, allowing me to compare directly to the other fan. There was NO discernable difference in brightness between my 40W equivalent LEDs, and these "60W" equivalent LEDs.Doing a quick google search indicates that a 60W equivalent LED should be about 800 Lumens and typically uses between 8 and 10 Watts. A 40W equivalent should be about 450 Lumens and consume 4-5 Watts. This product advertises 5W consumption and 600 Lumens. Yes, color temperature can affect things, but these are the same color as what I have in my fans already.I'm tempted to bring my light meter home from work and see what these really put out, but in the end, what matters is that my room is no brighter than it was.so these bulbs get returned!
