No adhesive hooks used, just attaches to ceiling. All in all a decent $18 product but I'm sure there are better ones out there. Tension can be a little heavy, especially near max draw, but that's not a problem for the Vive Index at least, the headset is pretty heavy at the standard draw length. This only becomes an issue when your range is larger and you stretch it to the maximum distance. You CANNOT adjust the tension, only the minimum suspension length of each pulley, contrary to the person who said this. It actually increases tension the further you stretch it. The pulleys are larger spring lines like ID badges, the further you slide out the more tension they put on due to the design. Of course, if you have very high double-height ceilings, this product will not work in that area as the cables do not protrude. gone, and the tension would be unbearable. Consider the length of the headset cable. The area I installed is relatively high so I lose play area due to the length running vertical to the ceiling when using either of these solutions. Finding the right displayport extensions for your VR headset can be a hassle or expensive, especially if you're playing at a higher upgrade rate. So don't think that you can extend the cable, just a local dealer will work fine. Therefore, it must be ordered online. Please refer to the headset information if you need to extend it. If you have low/normal high ceilings this would probably be ideal for this purpose.
