Sturdy, dark glass, good lens quality
If you're used to a progressive lens, you will definitely notice the line between no correction and the reading correction area, esp if you are using higher power reading like 2 or 2.5. But they are extremely nice, very comfortable, and for size, compare to Bausch and Lomb aviator model sunglasses in size large. So the reading is well down in a big lens and a slight adjustment of position on the bridge of your nose gets the reading portion down far enough not to distract when you're only trying to see distance through the upper plain glass
