I had never heard of GMKTEC before but I have to admit they built a good monitor. It comes in a black box with a monitor, a USB-C to USB-A cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and an HDMI cable. You can power the entire monitor via USB-C if your USB-C port supports output, or use a second USB or HDMI cable. The 15.6-inch GMK portable monitor supports HDR and Freesync. Since the monitor isn't listed as a freesync monitor compatible with my NVIDIA GPU (aka G-sync compatible), I wasn't able to test it. At first the picture wasn't very good, but after going through the menu and enabling all the extra features supported by the monitor, the picture became brighter and clearer. I was able to test HDR (images attached) while watching Free Guy. The monitor had an excellently sharp image in both HDR and SDR. I didn't experience any blurring or motion issues when watching movies or even playing games. In addition, the sound coming from the monitor is pleasant and clear. I had no problems watching movies or listening to music. All in all, this is a great feature-packed little portable monitor at an affordable price. Not sure why it doesn't have any features by default, but a quick menu journey adds all the bells and whistles that make the monitor light up.
