Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Midland WR400 Deluxe NOAA Emergency Weather Alert Radio with S.A.M.E. Localized Programming, 80+ Emergency Alerts, and AM/FM Radio Alarm Clock by Heather Sanchez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very disappointing on weather radios

Customize the radio for my state and county with default alerts and alert indicator type. My area had a flash flood warning on July 5th. The red warning light on the radio was flashing but the warning message was not scrolling on the display. Thinking I had done something wrong, I restarted the radio - unplugged it, removed the batteries, and reprogrammed it. There was a severe thunderstorm warning in my area on July 7th with winds exceeding 60mph and hail. The red signal light flashed again, but there was no running message. The only way to view messages on the WR400 was to switch to view mode by holding down the down arrow key. However, the news was not displayed in real time. Luckily I have another weather radio (Sangean) and this radio played alerts both days for the duration of the events. I emailed Midland with my problem but never received a reply. from their customer service. I returned the radio for a full refund. I also don't understand why the radio is advertised as an alarm clock. The display cannot be seen when lying down. Wouldn't buy Midland again based on this experience.
