While they are fine for my initial use of cracking thin acrylic, I have found them useful for any application involving gripping what I don't want to be spoiled. Ideal for removing the hot end from the heater blocks on the hot ends of a 3D printer without damaging the threads. They appear to be durable but the coating between the tongs peeled off on arrival and it didn't look like something you'd want to touch/breathe. the most. It comes with replaceable rubber tips, which I thought was a nice touch. A decent tool that will probably work well with glass/acrylic at least 1/8-1/4 inch thick.
