Holds an old Canon camcorder which is definitely heavier than a webcam.

This is a fairly straight camera shaft. I hooked up a Canon HF-20 camcorder for my kid and there was no wiggle room. I assume this will work for cameras of similar weight like the Sony A5100 or A6000, but I won't test my hand. Does the hand now seem to be the strongest of all hands? No, but given the price I paid compared to $99+ I wouldn't expect it, but it's solid enough for a fairly static stance and hand movement as needed.
