Review on πŸš€ 94537633 Air Intake Tube Cleaner Hose for 2012-2017 Chevrolet Sonic 1.8L by MOSTPLUS by Shawn Hodges

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very flexible, worked great for me.

My wife's Chevy Sonic had a check engine light on. The code says it's running on a lean mixture. I took it to a shop where they replaced the valve cover because I believe the PCV valve is built into the valve cover. It did not work. On their advice I replaced the air mass meter. It did not work. Then I started looking for air leaks. When I examined the air intake pipe, I saw two cracks. That was the problem. I ordered this inlet hose to replace the factory hose. The first thing that struck me is that this hose is very flexible compared to the OEM hose that snapped. The one I took out of the car was pretty hard. Maybe because he's been on the car for 7 years, or maybe because the factory hoses are like that. I think this flexible hose is better and will last longer than the original hose that came with the car. I say that because the hose connects to the air cleaner cover. With the cap off it puts pressure on the intake hose and the stress goes in the same direction as the two cracks. A more flexible hose allows for some flexing when checking the air filter. So after spending about $360 working at the repair shop, this cheap hose solved the problem.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
