I originally wanted to buy JW speaker bulbs but the price was too high for me ($700/pair) so I decided to look for alternatives to these. I have to say I'm very impressed! Pros: Appearance: These lights look elegant. The darkened body makes a real statement compared to the highly reflective silver of the standard taillights. Price: Literally a steal compared to 99% of other options. Brightness: These are very bright lights unless fully lit. you probably won't need to use high beams on back roads - Light Ignition: very easy to install, they require little modification on the passenger side, but more on that later. - BUILT-IN ANTI-FLICKER RESISTANCE: Unlike 99% compared to other cheaper LEDs on the market, there are no bulky anti-flicker straps to squeeze behind the light. - Decent quality adapter: I know some other reviews mention the plug adapter not working properly, but I haven't had any issues with mine. It fit into the OEM connector with no drama, I taped the connections to be careful but it's not necessary. - Heavy, well-built case: I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the heatsink/case for this light. It is cast aluminum with a black powder coat finish. I couldn't find any noticeable flaws or imperfections. - Well sealed: I installed them just before we had rain and thunderstorms for literally 3 weeks straight. My jeep is parked in the driveway with no weather protection and was driven a lot during this time. No condensation or water in the lens. Cons: - The passenger side light needed a bit of sanding to fit my 18 JK-Sport. It literally took about 10 minutes to sand down and spray paint a bunch of cooling fins. Spray paint to cover exposed metal. If you don't have access to the tools, I see this as a bigger problem. The lenses are made of polycarbonate and are therefore easier to scratch than the original lights. Just something to keep in mind when walking overgrown trails. And a quick public announcement: TAKE YOUR TIME AND AIM YOUR HEADLIGHTS CORRECTLY AFTER INSTALLATION! I think LED/Xenon bulbs get an unfair bad rap for being "blindingly bright" because idiots think there's no need to adjust new headlights as long as their factory headlights are adjusted correctly. NOT CORRECT! I spent about 20 minutes aiming at them and while they are very bright I haven't been blinded by oncoming traffic since I installed them. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to do this, PLEASE do everyone a favor and take an extra 15-20 minutes to make sure your lights line up correctly. I would recommend these lights to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on headlights for their Jeep. They are of great value and appear to be solidly built. I will update this review if anything happens to these lights.
