It's just a 5 minute installation with a 12mm socket and screw lock. Wonderful. Given that the Mazda CX-5 tries to, or actually presents itself as, a little luxurious, you'd think its hood would open with air struts, but it doesn't. For the price of these struts, this is a very valuable component for a car. The CX-5's steel hood is heavy, and these supports make it lighter and more stylish. Say goodbye to the stand. Easy to install. Very easy.
