Depending on how you drive, these valves only last a few years. Water collects in them, they rust and rot. If you only make short journeys, a maximum of 3 years. This is not the valve's fault, but a general design flaw in the system. But they last long enough to outlast the warranty period, and then it's your problem. Another crappy GM they got away with!
