Revainrating 4 out of 5

almost exact color match, easy to apply, pleasant to the touch

My sofa has been badly used by my children which has resulted in some fairly large tears in the seat cushion. I was quoted a price of $500 for a pillow pad! It was way more than I was willing to pay. So when I saw a random ad somewhere, I decided to give it a try. I liked that it was much wider than most other leather tightening patches. The color is almost identical to my dark brown leather sofa. It has a good thickness and is fairly easy to work with. I did as someone suggested and used a hair dryer after applying to make sure the glue stuck to the sofa. It's only been a day but so far it's holding up great. If he shows up again, I'll have more than enough to fix it. There were a few application imperfections that were not due to the product but to my inexperience (but you don't even see them because the sofa matches). My sofa looks almost new! It definitely looks a million times better than the tape we originally used before we could find something more durable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the very strong pungent smell upon opening. Luckily, it usually cleared up after a few hours. Also, it would be nice to maybe get some pointers on how best to use the product. I read elsewhere to clean the area and apply rubbing alcohol before application. Here's what I did in addition to using a hair dryer after applying the product. I don't even see them because how many sofas fit together). My sofa looks almost new!
