Best PC Gamepad You Can Buy But Still Not Perfect

I had one of the original 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ gamepads and loved it so I was happy to buy it when the Pro 2 came out. everything that was good in the old version. It's comfortable to hold, it can be used with both wired and wireless connections, the analog sticks and triggers are very accurate, the D-pad is precise and feels nice, and it has a very decent (>20 hours) Battery life with a rechargeable, replaceable battery. Battery. The most useful feature the Pro 2 added for me is the ability to program multiple profiles into the gamepad. If you're playing PC ports of console games or games from other regions, you're probably used to games swapping which buttons are used for confirm/cancel, so I like the profiles that let me switch the positions of X buttons / Y and A/B, so they always meet my expectations. The Pro 2 also adds two petal buttons below the controls, which would be helpful. if i could do something with them. Like the Star button on the original Pro+, which is still here, this button can only be configured in the 8BitDo software to copy another button on the controller, enable/disable turbo mode, or run macros, that copy the pressing of several other keys. keys in order. Button copying is useless to me, and macros would be useful if I play fighting games and want to use command sequences, but. Not me. Pressing one of these to run a macro will also pause and override any other button you've pressed on the controller, preventing you from using them while you're moving the sticks, for example. Star key and manipulators for any keystrokes; Let me use them to take a screenshot, record a video, or display a custom overlay. All of this would be great, but now it's impossible. They don't even show up as buttons on the operating system's control panel, so nothing else can use them, even if you want to use other joystick mapping software. My frustration with that aside, it's still my favorite PC gamepad.
