Review on Turtle Beach Elite Tactical Audio Controller by April Knowles

I have an ATH-AD900X and an Antlion Audio ModMic with a generic USB audio adapter for my PS4. I wanted to upgrade my audio adapter to improve game sounds (footsteps) and thought this product would be the one. The quality of the audio output was definitely excellent, and I love how easily accessible the controls are. Unfortunately I had to return them in exchange for a product from CL (SBX-G60) as the TAC's mic output was junk. I've received many complaints that the volume was very low and there was a constant buzz/hum in the background every time I spoke into the mic. I tried testing this on my PC in the Teams call test and was able to hear what people were saying to me. As I bought 2 of these (one for my son) he confirmed the same issues with his device so it wasn't a one off issue. His setup is similar to mine except he has AD500X headphones. Whether this unit could work better with the TB headset/mic it normally comes with I'll never know as we really like our AT headphones so we were never interested in buying replacement headphones until they failed . . I was really hoping that this product would work well for us, but unfortunately it didn't.
