As a preface: I'm a chemical engineer, 36 years old and not new to tech things. Purchased July 25, 2016. As of this date June 30, 2017 (less than a year later). The device is broken. No longer appears in the wireless network list. The problem was fixed by hard-wiring the extender to my computer via ethernet and I couldn't even access the device by IP address. Tried to reset several times too. It was clearly dead. Then I spent over an hour on the phone with Lynksys, ran all the diagnostic tests I tried and confirmed to them that I tried. They made me change subnet masks, IP addresses, etc. and it still wouldn't connect. The girl on the phone was clearly following the script. I was so angry. The device is obviously dead, NFG. It's been 59 minutes so far and I told her I just want to return this unit for a new one as I have a 1 year warranty. But I can't process a claim without going through their hoops. I was stopped multiple times for 5 minutes each for over 1 hour. This is absolutely brutal service. I don't know what else to say. If it doesn't break, it's fine. breaks like mine in less than a year and you're screwed. I do not recommend.
