We have a large trash can. Can you find bags big enough to fit in the basket? nope 55 gallons is too small to fit around the rims. Maybe 60 gallons would do, but I've never seen that size. Ace used to carry 15 tote bags, but in recent months finding a box has become more difficult. Found here. That's about a third of the cost of canning liners for most of the year! So if you have a tote and need big bags, buy them. I would also recommend using giant rubber bands to secure the edges of the bag around the top of the bin. It works great whether you drop something in or your regular kitchen jars decide they're leaking. Everything stays clean and garbage collection is appreciated for its ease of collection.
