This is actually a pretty cool product that gives very accurate readings but unfortunately mine took a day before it wouldn't turn on. This thermometer seems to have excellent reviews, which makes me wonder if I just received a defective thermometer or my battery somehow burned out upon arrival. In any case, I'll try to buy a replacement battery if possible and update my review if that solves the problem. The one day it worked for me, I was finally able to make hamburgers without overcooking them. I always make my burgers very dry for fear of poisoning everyone in my family with undercooked meat. This thermometer gave me the confidence to serve amazing burgers that were juicy but COOKED. I felt very confident reading it as I had taken it multiple times and everyone who ate survived that's a plus lol. Very annoying that it stopped working so quickly. Otherwise the rating would have been 5 stars.
