It took me 4 hours to assemble it with a screwdriver. The material is durable and the details and design are beautiful. My 7 year old niece loves it. Accessories that require batteries are already included. This is the second kraft children's dollhouse I have purchased and this one has a plastic ladder and balcony and the ability to see through walls to reach an "underwater" level. It's so dynamic. Not just a tree. The instructions are pretty clear. You just have to be careful where the screws go (pay close attention to the dashed lines so you don't put the wrong screw in the wrong hole). This happened to me on my first step lol but it was an easy fix. The screws are color coded so they are very camouflaged when tightened. If there is a blue pattern and a screw hole on the wall, the color of the screw cap is the same. So if you put the red screw on the yellow part, you are most likely wrong. Buy it! This house is beautiful and any Little Mermaid fan will love it. Much luck!
