Black ordered (no longer possible at the time of writing). The fabric has a slight sheen but is still lightweight and breathable. As for the fit, let me start by saying that I wear a size 16. It fits me very well and leaves room for maneuver. However, I'm short, 5'2" and the hem touches the floor. Not a problem as I can sew and hem. The description says it can be worn on the shoulder or off. I've tried both, and found "It was uncomfortable on my shoulders, although it was true. The fabric is tucked oddly in my armpits and my bra is showing. I've tried a few different styles and the straps and cup top are all showing now. It should be an easy fix be by wearing a strapless bra Overall this is a very nice dress and I am very glad I bought it.
