Review on Neewer X12 Teleprompter: Remote-Controlled, iOS/Android Compatible for Online Teaching, Vlogging, and Live Streaming (Carry Case Included) by David Romo

Hardware looks good. I can attach a Lumix GX85 camera and the frame clears the teleprompter hardware after a little zoom. However, I tried to download the software and got a message saying it was "incompatible" with my iPad. I don't have a new iPad, but one that I use every day. Without an app, the teleprompter ID is useless to me. I didn't see anything in the product description that would restrict the iPad to specific models. I called support and left a message. Will report if there is a solution. UPDATE: I still haven't received a call from support. Another UPDATE: I got a call back from support. The usefulness of this teleprompter for my needs looks brighter. So far I've tried downloading several other teleprompter apps. They ALL say they are not compatible with my old iPad. I successfully downloaded them all to a newer iPad and used one of them to finish my video project on time. (I have a teleprompter installed in my lathe shop - the video is a tutorial on using specific shop equipment.) I'm reporting back with an evaluation of several software and remote control options. The usefulness of the apps I've tested ranges from terrible to excellent.
