Review on 📀 Sony RDR-VX555: All-in-One Tunerless DVD Recorder/VHS Combo Player by Jonathan King

Great product. Works right out of the box, first time. Setup is easy and only takes about 10 minutes. I have a dish satellite system and have been warned that Sony has put a chip in this recorder that will disable any recording from the DVR. I found this claim completely false as I had no problem recording straight from Dish or DVR. Dubbing to a VCR is also easy if you set the recording speed first. I burned 8 hour old VHS tapes to a DVD. And if you buy an HDMI to DVI input cable, everything will be played back in 1080i, resulting in a much sharper picture on your HDTV. I am very satisfied with this product.
