EDIT: Biggest crap ever! It has 3 broken pins that have gotten stuck countless times per project since I wrote my previous review. Today I'm ready to order a sledgehammer to unleash my aggression on this damn car! I might try throwing it off the roof (twice) first for extra fun. It was actually less stressful hand stitching my project. which defeats the purpose of a car. NOT RIGHT! EVERYTHING I WROTE BEFORE IS WRONG >>>> This is a great first sewing machine. If you've never used a sewing machine before, it can be extremely intimidating and this brand/model is no different, but there are some things that make it easier, such as "automatic" needle threader. So far it's actually not "automatic" but manual mode, but it's definitely useful! It will take some learning to master, but once you do, you'll be threading this needle (and machine) like a pro. Just keep the needle AND the presser foot in the up position when threading the machine and/or using the automatic needle threader and you shouldn't have any problems. lifted above the fabric before changing the width setting. - Before changing the coil tension screw (only if absolutely necessary), write down the factory settings somewhere. .and use them for future reference. - Factory reset the spool before resetting to a new material and/or line type so that every "recorded" setting has the same exact starting point. I had to return the first car I received due to some issues I had. -- the flywheel squeaked slightly, I couldn't loosen the upper thread tension no matter how hard I tried, and the bobbin door slammed instead of staying open.
