I bought these hooks to attach to the bottom edge of a cooker hood to hold kitchen utensils. The hook cannot be as round as most cup hooks, as many large spoons, ladles, spiders, etc. have a thicker handle and will not slide over the cup hook. These 5mm wide hooks are bent at an angle of approximately 45 degrees and stand straight up. They are articulated and can be attached from above and hang on a plumb line. They're a good weight and don't look cheap, although it's a bit rough. After a long search for a good dish rack and couldn't find anything that would fit in the gap between the cooker and hood and allow me to place 12-13 inch dishes, I found this solution and was happy. Bonus: My backpack came with small metal washers that can be screwed onto a non-magnetic surface or placed behind a thin surface to hold the magnetized hook in place. Would I buy again.
