Puig says you can't install if you have extended reach footpegs. Actually you can, but you have to make a simple mod that requires a few extra (cheap) parts. Basically all you need to do is lengthen the rear left (switch side) pin holder spacer and rubber boot a bit to keep the shift pedal off the guardrail. On the right (brake) pin holder you just need to use a shorter washer on the front mounting hole. While the instructions below are a little lengthy, this is actually a very simple mod that will set you back around $6 at your local hardware store. Hey Puig: Feel free to include this in your instructions with proper reference. ;) You will need the following parts: 2) M8 x 1.25 55mm (or 60mm) bolts Approx. 20-25) M8 or 5/16" washers) pin holder, This part may be optional. Left pin holder (derailleur side ): 1: Remove (or omit) the screw on the underside of the guard rail that fits into the same front hole as the footpeg bracket 2: Replace the rubber boot on the footpeg bracket with a new, longer one after first putting a stack of washers in put the sleeve in (I used 7 washers but you may need to use a different amount depending on the thickness of the washer. The original sleeve can be used but may not stay on the pen holder as well as it did originally.) This allows the sleeve to continue protrude than the original boot.3: Install the front hole of the pen holder with another new M8x1 .25 bolt 55mm (or 60mm) with original gasket Tighten Si e not tighten the screw yet. They removed the bolt from the crash bar (I used 5 washers). If you have super glue, stick these washers together for easy installation. 5. Insert one of the new 55mm (or 60mm) M8x1.25 screws into the rear hole of the left pen holder and then slide the stack of washers over the screw. followed by the original upholstery (creating an extended upholstery). Install the pen holder starting with the back hole. 6: Tighten the screws properly. Right (brake) pin holder: 7: Remove (or omit) the screw on the underside of the guard bar that goes in the same front hole. as a footrest holder.8: Assemble the footrest holder starting with the rear hole with the original screw and the original gasket. Don't tighten it yet. 9. For the front hole, replace the original gasket with a set of washers (here I used 7 - this set plus the thickness of the metal where the protective bar attaches should equal the thickness of the original gasket). ). Glue a stack of washers together for easier installation. 10: Install the front hole with a stack of washers through the skid plate with the original screw. 11: Tighten both screws to the correct torque. gum down! :D However, the bars seem to be of really good quality - I hope I never get to look at them. The worst part of installing it is figuring out exactly where to mount it as their instructions aren't the best. There are several helpful videos on YouTube.
