My wife added these hooks to her wall mounted earring stand (a refrigerated display case often used for baking) to hang necklaces. I used them on our wire mesh shelves to hang items off the shelf. They are made of plated steel and are strong enough for their size. Pros: Right size for what we need. The shape is such that it won't accidentally detach from what it's hanging on, better than a basic S hook from the hardware store. It also has good finishes. Room for improvement: I would find it ideal if they were made of spring steel. In many cases you will need to open the small end slightly to fit the bar you are attaching the hook to. And then they need to be squeezed a little so that they don't accidentally come loose. It's not a big problem, but it's a minor annoyance.
