I bought these shoes in red and they are exactly like the picture and they don't fade as I feared because they strike back. I was very pleased that the shaft was low enough to be worn with shorts or pants. I was expecting to add cushioning soles but was pleasantly surprised that they already come with Locasta branded soles. Cotton laces definitely need to be replaced with a pair of higher quality nylon or synthetic materials, but given the low price and the overall quality of the shoe, I don't mind spending a few bucks more.
