Review on Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker - Upgraded Version of Minipresso, 18 Bar Pressure Manual Coffee Maker - Travel Gadgets for Ground Coffee, Ideal for Camping by Eric Rose

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This little thing is amazing! (Review updated due to poor customer service)

*Update:* (changed from 5 stars to 3.5 stars): I love my Nanopresso but recently had to file a warranty claim with Wacaco Orange sleeve fall comes out and disappears. This bushing is the part that creates a complete seal and prevents back flow from the brew chamber back into the tank chamber. If I cleaned it myself or disassembled it would be logical that I would have it, but eventually the part fell out on its own while brewing. When I contacted customer service I was charged for the part plus shipping (I'm guessing from China as it should take at least 3-4 weeks to receive it). I believe that such an important piece of equipment shouldn't just fall out. on his own. Pretty bum. Original Review: I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but this thing takes some good tasting shots! I bought this when I recently started making coffee at home and wanted something to make cheap espresso for my dirty teas. This is the most profitable option compared to expensive espresso. I also just took it with me on a hunt and drank a latte every morning. It took 6 or 7 minutes which is very impressive. You need a way to heat water, so keep that in mind when camping or traveling.

Pros
  • Manual espresso machines
Cons
  • Minor repairability
