Great if I can get it to work

So far I'm really liking Nanopresso in general. I found it a bit contradictory when I sometimes get a perfectly extracted espresso with a creamy-brown crema. Sometimes the nozzle gets clogged and I can't get consistently good shots. I use a manual coffee grinder. Usually the only variable is the temperature of the water. It seems that hotter water leads to more clogs. I increased the grind hardness and after that the shot came out a bit under-extracted. I've started playing with grind settings,

Decent product - very portable

I like that it's fully portable and I'm definitely happy with the quality of the recording, although I did find a few flaws. - The water tank is just plastic and doesn't feel like it fits snugly when you twist it, the plastic just feels like it will give instead of really locking. about half full. And finally, it's a bit awkward to hold, I think you need to hold it in one hand. I broke my arm a few years ago, it's just not the way it used to be, but pumping was hard for me and my stupid arm…

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I've had it for a week now and use it almost twice a day. For me, I wouldn't formally call what he does espresso, but rather frothy strong coffee. It lacks the consistency of real espresso from a good machine. However, the portability aspect is great. Tried to press harder - no difference. I'll try less water or a finer grind and update my rating if it changes. Update from my last comment (and an increase in star rating): you get a double boot with the Barista set. It also includes instructions

  • Brilliantly done

Beautiful technique.

This item is amazing. I bought it to try it and see how it works. The preheated water reached the top line in the water bowl (about 80 ml). I also bought a Nespresso pod adapter (NS adapter) to make the process easier and cleaner. After everything is loaded and reassembled, twist to unlock the rod and begin pushing the rod in to start the coffee extraction. First fill 2-3 pumps (no real effort), then each squeeze after that (I think I got to 18 pumps after ejecting the coffee), and finally…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance

  • Lots of Stuff

Good product - takes a long time to use and clean - be careful!

Good: - Makes espresso on par with an expensive machine - I replaced my desktop espresso machine with this, it's much better. - Can make espresso in 3-5 minutes - Seems durable (update if not) - Compact and portable, I put it in a cupboard and take it out. Bad: - Takes a long time to clean - It only makes one shot of espresso, if you're trying to do a double shot for 2 it's not very convenient - it's messy, I always put a kitchen towel or paper towel underneath to prevent drips and to avoid…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Something different

Great espresso! on espresso machines

First of all I like my espresso a lot. I have a Breville 870XL home brew. However, I was looking for a solution for the office and for traveling. I have an Aeropress that works great and makes great coffee. However, it cannot prepare an espresso. I watched Nanopresso for a while and finally pulled the trigger as the price is very reasonable. Physically, the product is just fantastic. Very durable with good seals. The port filter has a metal shield, which is great. It is light and small enough…

Pros
  • I'm crossing my fingers
Cons
  • I'm angry

*Update:* (changed from 5 stars to 3.5 stars): I love my Nanopresso but recently had to file a warranty claim with Wacaco Orange sleeve fall comes out and disappears. This bushing is the part that creates a complete seal and prevents back flow from the brew chamber back into the tank chamber. If I cleaned it myself or disassembled it would be logical that I would have it, but eventually the part fell out on its own while brewing. When I contacted customer service I was charged for the part plus

Pros
  • Manual espresso machines
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Don't waste your time.

I have used and struggled with SEVERAL of these devices over the years and despite a promising start I have to conclude that THIS PRODUCT IS A CRASH. When upgraded with a barista kit, this device can make amazing espresso. . BUT this device is prone to PERMANENT FAILURES. After YEARS of buying accessories, swapping out parts, working on my technique, trying different grind settings, and trying to fully pre-grind the grind variable, I haven't found an answer to the constant PICK-UPS and LEAKS…

Pretty bulky but pretty decent shot

Let me start by saying if you're a backpacker or backpacker and can sip espresso on an invigorating morning at 10,000 feet while breathing in the mountain air. It's always a 5 star start to the day. So this is a fantastic little device to do just that. However, if your fingers are frozen, it's best to warm them up first, as it takes a lot of strength. I recommend getting a barista kit with two 12-ounce jars and one 6-ounce jar that you can pack ahead of time. Your first cups will be much…
