Don't waste your time.

I have used and struggled with SEVERAL of these devices over the years and despite a promising start I have to conclude that THIS PRODUCT IS A CRASH. When upgraded with a barista kit, this device can make amazing espresso. . BUT this device is prone to PERMANENT FAILURES. After YEARS of buying accessories, swapping out parts, working on my technique, trying different grind settings, and trying to fully pre-grind the grind variable, I haven't found an answer to the constant PICK-UPS and LEAKS. No matter what grind I use, it will work well one day and clog the next. If it doesn't clog, the basket/portafilter can leak and half of my espresso stays in the machine. I've tried multiple devices, tried every possible solution to try to figure out why the seals were leaking, but nothing has come loose. It just flows sometimes and sometimes not. It just works sometimes and sometimes not. And I can't handle it anymore. It's awful to spend so much time typing everything you need for this device only to have it completely LOST trying to give to friends or family. I wanted to believe that this device was a hand-operated espresso secret weapon. A great device at a sensational price. But I'm completely done with it. And mind you, that's a total disregard for all of the other flaws, which I wholeheartedly agree with. For example, as terrible as it is for travel, cleaning isn't as easy as the manual says, and it produces a very poor espresso if the double-shot upgrade from the barista kit isn't used.
