Review on Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker - Upgraded Version of Minipresso, 18 Bar Pressure Manual Coffee Maker - Travel Gadgets for Ground Coffee, Ideal for Camping by Susan Johnson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good product - takes a long time to use and clean - be careful!

Good: - Makes espresso on par with an expensive machine - I replaced my desktop espresso machine with this, it's much better. - Can make espresso in 3-5 minutes - Seems durable (update if not) - Compact and portable, I put it in a cupboard and take it out. Bad: - Takes a long time to clean - It only makes one shot of espresso, if you're trying to do a double shot for 2 it's not very convenient - it's messy, I always put a kitchen towel or paper towel underneath to prevent drips and to avoid blobs - oops! Do not pack the fine grist into the basket too tightly, only gently press to smooth and do not fill completely. If you do this, the negative pressure inside will pull the top cap in so hard that you will not be able to remove it. The ribs around the top completely ripped my hand open trying to remove the lid. There's no cure but time and lots of muscle. Don't be stupid like me - use a towel so you don't hurt yourself on the ledges if your cap gets snagged.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Something different
