We love our ground pepper! It has an easy setting for coarse or fine grinding, making it easy to transfer from person to person in our extended family. No pepper precipitation as you are installing it "upside down" by design. That can be annoying if you want the freshly ground pepper to stay strictly on the ground, but we didn't care. Easy to use and durable construction. After a few months of use it still seems to last a long time. TWO YEARS LATER: We used this item frequently for most of our meals, and we're a large family (so it's been used a lot). Most of this pepper mill is either metal or glass so it won't break or wear out, but eventually the thick plastic frame that centers the bolt that holds the nut to allow for fineness adjustment broke. We almost bought a new one but instead decided to epoxy the crack in the frame and the bolt in the frame. It still works like new.
