I was looking for something to protect our wooden structure in the bay window. They're supposed to have a water barrier inside to keep out water getting in, I just don't know how much I trust that. I overwintered my plants and watered one of them a little. This product kept her from getting wet, but the water almost seemed to run down the sides, forming a ring around the plant. There wasn't much water, but enough to do damage. Luckily this one was sitting on an old chair so it wouldn't ruin the woodwork. I think they do a great job of stopping normal amounts of water but water will seep down the sides if you water too much. I think they do their job as they should, I just don't know if they will protect our wood structure from anything more than light overwatering.
