A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.
Otherwise, the impressions are identical to last year's 13" flash, with the exception of small nuances. From what I noticed, these are tighter USB-C ports and the magnet attracts the cover a little more. In terms of switching from 13" to 15" - the performance is undoubtedly much higher. Especially in CPU-bound tasks. You should not expect much from the video card, but again it is noticeably faster than the integrated Iris Pro 650. As for the difference in weight - for me 500g is not particularly critical. But if you constantly carry a laptop with you, then 13-inch is much more convenient, both in weight and in size. (To make it clearer, before buying, just twist both models in your hands). I hope that my experience will be useful to someone.
- 1. Screen size. Compared to a 13-inch firmware, it is much more comfortable to work. The color reproduction and brightness are unchanged (everything is fine). 2. Sound. I thought it was great in last year's Mac. But here it is beyond praise - juicy (there is even bass) and MUCH louder (compared to 13''). 3. TrueTone is a controversial feature, but let it be a plus. During everyday work, especially in the evening, it is convenient. Eyes get tired less. But for those who are engaged in color correction, it is absolutely useless. 4. Performance. When connected to a 4K monitor, Launchpad no longer lags when scrolling, minimizing / unfolding the video is smooth. Thanks to discrete graphics for this. 5. Keyboard. The ated butterfly has become really better. It works not only a little quieter, but also noticeably softer. Printing is much more pleasant.
- 1. Price. Really biting. But that's the reality =( 2. Problems with software (Bridge OS error). The Mac just randomly restarts. And in the last beta of Mojave it was never fixed. 3. When connected to an external monitor, you cannot use the integrated graphics, only discrete. Looks like a hardware feature. Was unpleasantly surprised. 4. Discrete graphics disappointed me a little. For such a price, I would like at least the RX 580. But how rich.
