Review on Redi Shade Original Arch Light Filtering Fabric Shade, Natural, 72 in x 36 in by Timothy Spinner

An excellent and cheap solution for darkening a semicircular window

So far so good. It's pretty easy to cut - I used a sharp serrated knife and it cut smoothly. I didn't use lampshade dimensions, I just measured my window, halved that number, then placed the lampshade in a plastic holder and measured from the center point of the plastic to mark the end of the lampshade of my measurement. I marked it on all the corners to make sure I wasn't cutting at an angle in any direction. I ended up trimming a bit because (as I suspect with most semi-circular windows) it's not exactly around the perimeter and the top of the blind overlapped the window ledge. I was able to trim more and then "pull up" the bottom edges to cover the loss there. After reading other reviews of double sided tape causing restriction when opening and closing, I decided not to use tape. Instead, I used strips to hang the pictures. Velcro plastic strips allow you to completely remove the cover with its plastic retainer and the rest of the command strips are out of sight high up on the window sill.
